Boyd and Silva Martin have made a big impression on the horse world in a short time in the United States. In early 2007 Boyd and Silva relocated from New South Wales, Australia to Phillip and Evie Dutton's True Prospect Farm in West Grove, Pennsylvania.

Previously, in 2006, Boyd had flown his four-star level event horse Ying Yang Yo to the US to train with Dutton for three months before he finished 11th at the Rolex Kentucky three-day event.  Boyd and Silva, a Grand Prix dressage rider, were married in Australia in December, 2006 and relocated their business, Windurra LLC, to the US shortly thereafter.

Boyd, who was short-listed for the Australian Olympic Team, intitially worked as Dutton’s assistant trainer. Silva worked out of the top barn at True Prospect Farm running a successful dressage training business.  Silva, a licensed riding instructor, or “Bereiter”, from Germany became a well saught after dressage instructor to many top eventers, and riders of all levels.

During the spring of 2009, Boyd received his approved US citizenship. He and Silva branched off to start their own business, leasing the top barn at True Prospect Farm & remaining in close partnership with Phillip Dutton.
