Murphy was purchased from Peter Leonard at Ringwood Farm in Adare , Co. Limerick, Ireland. He was intended to become a foxhunter, but seems to be enjoying his present career as an event horse with Boyd Martin. Fox hunting may have to wait.
Murphy has had a successful start to his eventing career knocking up many top placings. He is a classic Irish horse that loves the cross country phase of the event.
The basic plan with him is to continue training him in the three disciplines of eventing. We are also starting hound exercising with the Cheshire pack in Unionville PA. I feel he will have a successful carrier in either equine sports…. Or both.
Murph is owned by Gretchen and George Wintersteen of West Grove PA., who are
both sporting enthusiast…...with George being a former Race car driver, and Gretchen a first flight foxhunter with the Cheshire Hunt.
