Summer Breeze, in my mind, has the perfect mix of warmblood movement and jump combined with the speed and endurance of the thoroughbred horse. She has four star eventer soaked through her pedigree and her nature. She shares the same mother as advanced eventer Shatzi W in Batwoman, and she is sired by Australia’s Four star event sire Staccatto who is 50% Dutch.
She was imported to the States from Australia in November 2009 and started her eventing career in Aiken in March of 2010. Her owner, Mrs. Anne Hennessey, is no stranger to top horses. Anne also owns 3 star eventer Benwald. Summer has spent her days in America in training with me in PA and SC, while occasionally living the good life at Anne’s winter retreat in Southern Pines or Anne’s second farm in Vermont.
Summer is an impressive young horse that is heading for stardom. She has the movement and look for dressage, a big stride for galloping and most importantly a big scopey jump that has plenty of range. The goal is to take our time with her, train her right, and end up champions!
