Sea Lord's previous owner, Shannon Stimson, lives and works bi-coastally as a Professor at UC Berkeley in California. Shannon has ridden as an amateur in both eventing and dressage, fox hunting, and has owned several horses for Phillip Dutton, notably her ownership has included Nova Top, who went to the Athen's Olympics; Truluck, who she co-owns with Annie Jones and It's a Knockout. Truluck took the silver medal at the PanAms in 2007, and Its a Knockout went to the World Cup in Pratoni with Shane Rose, and with Phillip who competed him at Samur.
Shannon found Sea Lord through a local race trainer. He has always been called "Big Bird" or "Birdy" at home because of his general likeness in appearance and personality to the wonderful Sesame street character.
As an owner, Shannon enjoyed several seasons watching Big Bird in his development with Silva through Intermediate 2.
At the end of 2010 Charish Campbell, owner of Chesapeake Sport Horse, purchased Big Bird and continues to enjoy watching this talented thoroughbbred give all the warmbloods a run for the money at the upper levels of the sport! Recent accomplishments include their two wins at Intermediate 2 at Dressage at Fair Hill, June 2011 and he will be doing his first Grand Prix at Blue Goose on July 6th!

They also debute Sea Lord's Grand Prix Freestyle on June 25th at PVDA's Ride For Life in the Dancing Horse Challenge at the Prince George Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. Charish Campell and SIlva chose a jockey outfit for the evening since BB is an off the track Thoroughbred and is now at the Grand Prix level, which is very unusual. The event raised money for breast cancer awareness and was a huge success!!
