Strong Performances from All Six Windurra Horses at Jersey Fresh Intl

All six Windurra horses had outstanding performances at the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event this weekend. Having laid down clear cross country rounds in the worst possible downpour on Saturday, each and every one came back fit and fresh for show jumping today. We were fortunate that the sun was shining and it was an enjoyable day of jumping after yesterday’s slog in the mud.

In the CIC3* Tsetserleg, owned by Christine Turner, proved his mettle and finished second overall with a double clear round.

Bonito, owned by Stephen Blauner and Nancy Hathaway, was 13th overall with a couple of rails down, but Boyd said that this is usually the toughest phase for this horse so he was especially pleased with him in spite of the rails.

Long Island T

In the CIC2* Long Island T, owned by the Long Island T Syndicate, had one rail down and finished sixth in his first run at this level.

Ray Price

Homebred Ray Price W finished seventh with a clear round.

Christine Turner’s Kyra is a sensitive, redheaded mare but jumped her heart out in the CCI2*, finishing second overall.

Tura Lura

Gloria Callen and Nancy Hathaway’s lovely Irish mare Tura Lura was also double clear and finished fourth overall. Both of these two horses show great promise for the future.

Happy Mother’s Day to Toy Martin, Christa Stigler and especially to Silva who was at the event with Nox today.
