Kicking Off the 2018 Eventing Season at Stable View Horse Trials

We have a sensational group of horses ready to start their first event of the year right here at our winter base in Aiken at the Stable View Horse Trials. I have entered a few of the upper level horses in the Open Preliminary, just to give them a nice easy outing before their first Advanced or Intermediate in a couple of weeks at Pine Top. Erik Duvander Coaching in Aiken

The new US Eventing Team coach Erik Duvander was in Aiken this week, coaching at Stable View. He worked with Shammie and he even hopped on and had a feel of him. Here are some quick videos of Contessa, owned by Gloria Callen, Densey Juvonen, Fernanda Kellogg, and Kelly Morgan, schooling at Stable View Farm in Aiken, SC.  We decided to put a number of the cross country portables, built by ETB Equine Construction, in the outdoor jumping ring, which has excellent all-weather footing by Attwood Equestrian Surfaces. Silva Conducting Fix-A-Test Clinic at Stable View 2/7!

Don’t miss this unique learning opportunity!  Silva is conducting a one-day "Fix A Test" clinic at Stable View on 2/7 from 8am - 5pm.  Riders will ride a dressage test of their choice (including eventing tests) and receive a score as they would at a show. Silva will discuss the test results and work with the rider on ways to improve their test. Heading Home from Stable View

All the horses are in good form this morning after a busy and successful one-day Advanced Horse Trial yesterday at Stable View.   Running 4 horses in the Advanced on a tight time schedule went off without a hitch and Boyd was quite pleased with the performance of all the horses, including his 2 greener horses, Bonito and Tsetserleg, making the step up to this level.  The more seasoned horses, Welcome Shadow and Steady Eddie certainly earned their keep this weekend, sending the team home with some Read more...
