Swan Lake Jumper Show

Yesterday I went to the Swan Lake jumper show in Western Pennsylvania with Santos, Eddie, Shamwari and Kyra and competed the horses in the 1.20m and the 1.30m jumpers. Santos - I thought he jumped really well in the 1.20. I made a mistake with my position coming out of the last combination and we had the back rail down because I sat up too early. This phase is Santos weaker phase, and I believe we are making good progress.  I feel like he is getting stronger and more careful; the Bromont Three-Day Read more...

Boyd’s Training Update from Wellington

By recommendation of Chef d'Equipe Erik Duvander, Boyd is down in Wellington for a few days focusing specifically on his dressage and show jumping with dressage coach Scott Hassler and show jumping coach Richard Picken.  Both Boyd and Phillip are taking this time to work with these gentlemen to sharpen their skills on select horses in a laser focused environment. Boyd has become quite the expert at pulling together video clips and commentating on his training.  We hope you enjoy this update! Read more...

USA Triumphs at 2017 Great Meadow Nations Cup!

It was a stellar weekend in The Plains Virginia at the Great Meadow International FEI Nations Cup.  Once again it was a great battle to the end between the US and our northern friends, with our home country taking home the Blue, followed by Canada and then England. Eddie started the weekend with a bit of tension in the dressage, but showed pure class in the show jumping and over a big XC track, which was a bump up in difficulty from last year's course.  Bragging rights go to The Eagle, who was Read more...

RK3DE 2017: Competition Recap, Sponsor Signings, Course Walks & Fans Galore!

Each year the RK3DE is non-stop action for Boyd & Silva, his horses and the entire team that works so hard to choreograph the lead up and weekend of competition in Kentucky.  It is no simple feat to get 2 horses prepped for the biggest 4* in this country, and Boyd recognizes that he wouldn't be able to do it without the entire team at Windurra USA. This year was Maddie Parisan's and Emma O'Lone's first trip to Rolex with Boyd and we were so proud of how they quickly stepped up to the plate.  Read more...

Pancho & Eddie – Two Top Class Event Horses Offered for Sale!

Steady Eddie keeps adding to his resume, after finishing 4th at the recent inaugural Advanced HT at Stable View!  He's also hot off his top result in the Advanced (3rd) at Plantation Field Horse Trials, so we wanted to remind the eventing community that this exceptionally talented horse would be a real catch for a competitive rider looking to ride at the top of the sport. Steddie Eddie confirmed himself at Rolex this year and hasn't let up since.  He's a tough New Zealand Thoroughbred who's Read more...

Heading Home from Stable View

All the horses are in good form this morning after a busy and successful one-day Advanced Horse Trial yesterday at Stable View.   Running 4 horses in the Advanced on a tight time schedule went off without a hitch and Boyd was quite pleased with the performance of all the horses, including his 2 greener horses, Bonito and Tsetserleg, making the step up to this level.  The more seasoned horses, Welcome Shadow and Steady Eddie certainly earned their keep this weekend, sending the team home with some Read more...
