We have arrived at the Carolina International Three-Day Event in Southern Pines, NC in good order. Without question this is one of the great events of the winter circuit. I have a small group of horses entered which should make for quite a relaxing weekend. I have brought some of the Kentucky horses along for the trip to train, and to stop me getting too bored!
We are slowly migrating north back to Pennsylvania.  Looking at the weather report this morning, I am glad I chose to stop by this event on the way home.
In the Advanced I have my two ‘up and coming’ Advanced horses, Long Island T and Ray Price. Both of these guys are green at this level, but are in great form at the moment. We had a good jump school with Richard on Monday. I believe they both will have a good event that will give them valuable experience before their first CIC3* at Fair Hill in a few weeks.
In the CIC1* I am reunited with my old mate SBF Cortez. I have only been back on him for a couple of weeks, so I thought I would ease back into competition at the one-star level.
The scores can be found on Cortez does dressage today at 4:42pm while Long Island T kicks off tomorrow at 8:36am and Ray Price goes tomorrow at 11am.
Below are a few videos of the horses schooling on their last day in Aiken:
