Pan Am Games Training Camp at Stable View

We’ve arrived yesterday at Stable View in Aiken for the US Eventing Team Training Camp in preparation for the 2019 Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru. The buildup to the Pan Am Games has been good with Thomas, and I put together a short video about some of the training we’ve done with him the past few weeks including show jumping at Princeton, cross country schooling, and his fitness work. Windurra Eventers On the Road to Maryland Horse Trials

The final outing for the Pan Am horses, the Maryland Horse Trials starts today. We’ve been lucky with the weather as there have been numerous thunderstorms that have created rain during this hot time of the year. Friday and Saturday I have chosen to ride Thomas (Tsetserleg), Bonito and Santos. All three of these horses seem to be in great condition coming into this event. Even though the footing should be decent, the course can be a little twisty and I will most likely not go too quick, in an effort Read more...

Electric Sold!

I am pleased to announce that I have sold Electric to Kelly Gilbertson. I have always loved this horse, we bought him initially because we thought he’d be my new FEI horse, but with two kids to take care of and a lot of competition horses in my barn now, I knew I would have to let someone go. He’s got such a good temperament and is easy to ride, so I thought he’d be a good one to sell since he will make a nice schoolmaster. I’ve known Kelly and her mom Jacqui for a long time, Jacqui Read more...

Home from Bromont 2019

We finally arrived home at 4am this morning from an epic Bromont three-day event in Quebec, Canada. For me this is, alongside Fair Hill, the very best three-day event in North America. Bromont has it all: beautiful weather, a sensational venue and a serious, tough competition. In all my years of going to Bromont – I think it’s ten now – I’ve won the lower classes a few time, but I’d never managed to win the CCI4*-L, and that was a big goal of mine at the beginning of this year. In Read more...
