Featured Video Play IconEarlier this year, Tricia Boone called me and said that my 2012 Olympic partner Otis Barbotiere wasn’t doing too much at his new home in Kentucky.  He had a great career in the jumpers with both Catie and Ali Boone, but was ready for retirement. Tricia said that she was looking for a home for the old boy, and I jumped at the chance to take him back and give him a home at Windurra. Mike will be taking the younger horses down to Maryland this weekend to take part in the Waredaca Horse Trials. With all the rain in the last weeks the footing will be in good shape and this should be a good run for these horses. He will take the ladies in the the Prelim on Saturday and then the three French brothers down to run in the Training on Sunday. They are all in good nick, and should jump well. -Boyd Read more...

Windurra at Virginia Horse Trials Mid-Week Event

I have just arrived in Lexington, Virginia ready to do battle in a special ‘mid-week’ event here at the Virginia Horse Trials. With most of these horses gearing up for a 4-Star in the coming months, I am hoping to give them a nice easy run around an intermediate cross country course to build them - and me - up!  Tomorrow is the dressage and show jumping, with cross country on Wednesday. Boyd is Back

The wait is finally over!  Tomorrow I get back to the competition ring with a few horses at Maryland Horse Trials. We have had plenty of rain today, so the turf should be ideal to gallop on.
