Hylofit Instrumental in Upping Windurra’s Fitness Game!

Featured Video Play IconThere's been quite a bit of buzz recently within the equestrian community regarding an emerging fitness technology company called Hylofit.  As with all of our sponsorship relationships at Windurra USA, we're very careful to test out products to ensure that we can stand behind that company and that their products bring value to our horses and training program.  With that in mind, we wanted to share the backstory of how Boyd and Silva came to be introduced to this Hylofit. After the 2019 LRK3DE: The Best is Still to Come with Tsetserleg

Looking back on this year’s Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event, I’m honestly not sure we could have done much better with Thomas. Last year he felt like a green, inexperienced horse and this year he’s a seasoned campaigner. I’ve said it before, while I don’t know that he’s always the most talented horse in the field, there’s no question he tries the hardest of any horse I know. I think the dressage this year was a good test but I think this is one area we can still improve. I think Read more...
Boyd and Thomas had a stellar round at the 2019 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Mars Equestrian today. With no jumping and no time faults they moved up to second place overall on their dressage score of 27.9, less than a rail behind leader and  defending champion Oliver Townend on Cooley Masterclass with 25.3. At the press conference Boyd said of Christine Turner's Trakehner gelding, "He gave me a fantastic ride. I thought the course walked easier this year and I was surprised Read more...

Tsetserleg Waltzes Into the Top 3 After Dressage!

This morning, when asking Silva about Boyd’s and Thomas’ preparation for this year’s test, she said, “I don’t want to jinx it, but we may have a top 3 finish.” Clearly Silva is clairvoyant…..or perhaps she and Boyd have been working pretty hard towards today’s score of a 27.9, which was good enough a press conference appearance as the scoring top American! Since Boyd’s dressage test was near the end of the day, we also had the opportunity to visit with a few of our sponsors in Read more...

2019 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event

The 2019 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is under way and Tsetserleg passed the first veterinary inspection with flying colors. We've got Amber at the computer and Lisa on the ground in Kentucky making sure that Boyd's fans and sponsors have lots of great content from this year's big event! Boyd has walked the cross country course (more than a few times) and is lined up for a few autograph signings with various sponsors in the trade fair. https://kentuckythreedayevent.com/sponsor-village-map/ Here's Read more...

Boyd and Tsetserleg Have Arrived in Kentucky for #LRK3DE 2019

I’ve arrived in at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington for this year’s LRK3DE, for the first time called a 5-star, which takes some getting used to saying as I’ve been riding around 4-stars for many years now. This year I ended up bringing Tsetserleg (Thomas), who’s in sizzling form; this time last year he was green at this level but now he’s a seasoned competitor. His training and preparation have been spot on and I’ve got him well prepared in all three phases, and I’m looking Read more...

Tsetserleg Wins The Fork CCI4*-S

Boyd and Tsetserleg brought home the win in the CCI4*-S at The Fork Horse Trials at Tryon International Equestrian Center, Presented by Lucky Clays Farm. On Cue, also owned by Chris Turner, had an easy canter around to finish 15th in the same division. In the Advanced Test A, Long Island T, owned by the Long Island T Syndicate, was first after dressage but finished 2nd overall with some time penalties. Contestor, owned by Denise Lahey and Pierre Colin, finished 4th in the Advanced. Boyd Read more...

Windurra Eventers Heading to The Fork at Tryon 2019

We are on our way to The Fork Horse Trials at TIEC in Tryon, North Carolina. I am looking forward to experiencing the warmer weather again. Obviously, this is a magnificent facility that was the venue for last year's World Equestrian Games, and the facilities and courses (built by ETB Equine Construction) are top-notch. I have heard that the course will be similar to the WEG course last year: it will be technical but not overly big, and it should be a good track. I have decided on Read more...
