Crackers felt good today, he’s green and the ground was a bit tiring but he jumped beautifully. I wanted to get him home safe and sound so he had a fair few time penalties but he jumped clear and is now officially a four-star horse, which is great! He also moved up considerably, from 45th after dressage to 25th after cross-country.

The ground had deteriorated considerably through the day, and I wanted to have a crack at the time with Master Frisky but we were three or four seconds slow. He tried his heart out and made a gallant effort. I was really pleased with him. He’s currently in 6th place, 12.3 penalty points behind our leader, New Zealand’s Time Price on Wesko.

Both horses are fit and sound but tired after today’s efforts so we’ll give them fluids and hope they get a good night’s rest before tomorrow.
