Count Down to Devon Arena Eventing!

The day has come for international level event riders to take center stage at the historic Devon Horse Show!  With $50,000 in prize money, the list of final entries has grown.  Boyd will be in hot contention with two horses; Kyra, owned by Christine Turner and Boyd’s homebred, Ray Price, owned in partnership with the Ray Price Syndicate.

The list of entries will be updated by 1pm today (Sunday) and the first Eventer will enter the ring at 7pm to put Captain Mark’s course to the test.  The course, designed by Captain Mark Phillips, will run between the Dixon Oval and the adjacent Gold Ring, challenging riders with a combination of portable XC jumps and 1.20m stadium fences, with brush up to 1.40M.

The idea was proposed by Beth Clark, who is an accomplished amateur owner show jumper and trains with Kevin Babington.   Beth, who lives in Unionville, is also a longtime member of Cheshire Hunt and has worked in conjunction with Wayne Grafton and members of the eventing community to launch Arena Eventing at Devon.  We’re grateful for all of their efforts to bring the thrill of eventing to the greater equestrian community!

The final entry list for Devon Arena Eventing will be updated by 1pm today, and we’ll be on location tonight for live coverage!
