“Horizon’s philosophy is to share our knowledge and experience with our clients.  Our customers definitely do their homework and we constantly strive to ‘give a leg up’ by educating them about barn design and the buying process.  Being well-informed early in the process makes the project fun and easy rather than stressful and overwhelming. We have been building high-quality Amish crafted barns for well over a decade.  Our modular construction provides a cost-effective yet highly customizable product for everyone from a backyard owner with ponies for the kids, to a competitor such as Olympic eventer, Boyd Martin,” says Dave Zook, owner of Horizon Structures LLC, based in Atglen, PA.

Horizon Structures provides a number of resources to help horse owners design their barns.  One of the most popular is their FREE download: The Perfect Barn. It provides advice on which features to consider for equine well-being and provides inspirational design tips as well as advice addressing common pitfalls to avoid.

Additionally, you will find a wealth of articles on Horizon Structures blog  that address a myriad of FAQ’s and topics every horse owner should consider when choosing a structure.  Whether it be an indoor arena, horse barn or multi-use building, it’s all covered on the blog. The articles are available for FREE publication as part of the “Horizon Structures Presents Series.” Please contact Jill Siragusa, Chief Marketing Officer at Horizon Structures at 1-888-44SHEDS, for terms of use and permission to publish. Lots of super photos are available to accompany these articles.

You can also check in with Olympic eventer Boyd Martin on Horizon Structures’ YouTube channel.  The “Boyd’s Bits” series features upfront advice from Boyd on everything from run-in sheds to gazebos.

  1. Hi there! My uncle has been thinking of upgrading the horse barn in his backyard very soon. I really like it when you mentioned that we should choose building materials that can withstand external elements as well. I’ll certainly ask him to consider this option so he’ll make the right installation later.
