Next Stop: 2019 American Eventing Championships

After a rough weekend at Great Meadow, I am fired up to turn things around at The American Eventing Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.  This should be one of the biggest and best events for the year.  It’s always a thrill competing at the Kentucky Horse Park, and riders from around the country come to the AEC’s to compete at every level of the sport.
Firstly, apologies to a few owners whom have not been correctly listed on the entry list with the horses.  We are working hard to fix this.
On Tuesday all of the Intermediate and Prelim horses go in the dressage. I believe these horses will go cross country and show jump on Wednesday and Thursday.  Ludwig is my only advanced horse this week and I believe he starts his competition on Thursday.
My plan is to try to be very competitive on all of the horses this week. It’s a long drive down there, and a fair bit of prize money up for grabs, so we will give it a good crack.  My two super grooms Steph and Shelby drove the horses through the night, and they have all arrived in good health this morning. I plan to work the horses lightly in the dressage later this afternoon.
Being the National championships, there will be plenty of media coverage of this event on eventingnation.com and useventing.com. I am pretty sure they will have a live feed for the Advanced Championships. The live scoring will be found on Startboxscoring.com.
Cheers,
Boyd
