This week is the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event at the Horse Park of New Jersey in Allentown. I have brought up a group of rock star upper level horses to contest this event. We arrived yesterday  and the courses look good. Conditions should be good, with a good amount of rain last night and cool and cloudy weather predicted for Saturday’s cross country.
My plan for the horses:
Barry:  feeling really good in his training and should do well in the dressage. I will give him a gentle blast around on Saturday.  He is still a little green at this level.
Ray Price:  last run before Bromont (Quebec). Silva has been busy with his dressage and he has been working well in the lead-up to this event. If he feels good on Saturday I will let him run on and be competitive.
Luke:  first time at this level in America.  I plan to go a little easy around the cross country and get the feel of him, probably will have some time penalties. I’m still building a partnership with the little guy.
Cortez:  entered in the new “L” format (former CCI), this is his first time ever at this distance. He is going as well as he has ever been and I’ve got him very fit.  I will try to be as competitive as I can be as well as giving him a safe ride.
