What an epic Olympics…. I’m so glad it’s over, and we can all take a deep breath.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful support. I have never felt so much encouragement around a team.

Big Red felt a mixture of being green and tired at the end of the cross country and the second round of jumping yesterday. He dug in and kept trying his heart out the whole way and that is something I truly admire! We were right in there with the best in the world.

The past few weeks there has been a massive team helping us prepare to pull off this performance. My wife Silva, Joanie Morris, , Richard Picken, David O’Connor, Stephen Teichman, Jo-Ann Wilson, Dr Susan Johns, Kristen Merala, Sergio Reyes,  Andy Thomas, and Will Connell have all been instrumental in getting Red and me, and the rest of the US team, to the finish line.

To the owners of Blackfoot Mystery, thank you for getting behind this horse. We have only had him for one year, and I think there are plenty more big ones in him.

To my teammates Phillip, Lauren, Lynn and Clark, we came bloody to close pulling it off. It’s a sport or inches, there is no shame in going down swinging and going for it! It has been memorable.

Silva and Nox, I can’t wait to see you tomorrow.

Finally, Phillip, Evie, Emma, and the owners of Mighty Nice: you guys deserve this medal more than anyone in the world.

Boyd
