Remington was born and bred in a dressage barn in Hamburg Germany. His father, Rubenstein, is probably the greatest dressage sire of all time. If the breeders in Germany ever found out that he has turned into a top class Event horse in America they would be speechless.

Remington was sold to an American dressage rider when he was four years old. Imported to America, he spent his first years competing and training strictly in dressage. After it was apparent that he was not going to be a super star dressage horse, Randy Ward started his eventing career.

Densey Juvonen spotted Remington at this time and fell in love with his quiet nature. Being a member of Cheshire Hunt, Densey immediately recognized his athleticism, boldness and his kindness and bought him in August 2005.

In mid 2007, Boyd met Densey who offered him the ride on Remi. After their introduction, there was no holding back Remi’s eventing career. Within 12 months Remington competing from Novice all the way up to Intermediate. He has been absolutely fantastic in every start, never ever placing lower than 7th! He has won many of his Preliminary starts and just recently had his first win at Intermediate level at the Fair Hill Horse Trials in May of 2008. Their main goal this year is to compete at the CCI ** in the Fair Hill International Three Day Event.

Boyd’s debut to Fox Hunting was with Remington in November 2007 with Mr. Stewart’s Cheshire Foxhounds. Densey and Justina Juvonen thought it would be a good idea to terrify Boyd and take him Fox Hunting. Out of control most of the time, Remington was in his element, giving the Hunt Masters a run for their money.
