Silva finished up her Kentucky coaching gig by helping Boyd pilot both of his remaining CCI5*-L horses into the top ten at the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Mars Equestrian.

On Cue

On Cue is probably the greenest one out of the five-star horses because she hasn’t done any of the big competitions yet. I thought she was awesome, I’ve never seen her this good! She’s a very good mover, so that helps, and she was very focused and kept her cool. She only had a couple little bobbles, but overall she was awesome.

I think we got lucky today: Thomas is sensitive and really doesn’t like other horses in the warmup, so it was lucky he went at the end of the day. He was a little feisty in the canter so we gave him some extra forward work in the warmup to get it out of his system. The test looked great, though unfortunately the easiest change for Thomas is to the right, and first change to the left was really good, and the next one wasn’t as together as it usually was. There were a few little things like that if you’re being picky, but he scored a 25, and like I said yesterday, it’s not a dressage show!

We worked really hard preparing for this weekend and it paid off: all three horses scored in the 20’s, so that’s awesome! Now I’m off to the airport and I can’t wait to see Nox and Leo when I get home!
