Jersey Fresh International 2019

It was a gorgeous spring day at the Horse Park of New Jersey, and Boyd was busy riding four horses in stadium jumping and three around cross country at the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event. There were a few ups and downs this weekend: one of the highlights was the relatively new horse, Luke 104 narrowly finishing second in the CCI3*-S after adding a couple seconds of time on cross country. Ray Price finished 5th in the CCI4*-S, while Barry was having a good round but ended up with a Technical Read more...

Preview of Windurra Horses at 2019 Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event

This week is the Jersey Fresh International Three-Day Event at the Horse Park of New Jersey in Allentown. I have brought up a group of rock star upper level horses to contest this event. We arrived yesterday  and the courses look good. Conditions should be good, with a good amount of rain last night and cool and cloudy weather predicted for Saturday's cross country. My plan for the horses: Barry:  feeling really good in his training and should do well in the dressage. I will give Read more...

All Six Horses Clear Cross Country at Jersey Fresh 2018

It was an outstanding day for the Windurra horses at Jersey Fresh International, with six clear rounds and two horses in the lead: On Cue leads the CCI2* and Long Island T tops the CCI3*, with Ray Price in second by fewer than three points - meaning Ludwig better pick up his toes in the show jumping tomorrow. Kyra is less than a point off the lead in the CIC3* followed closely by Steady Eddie in 3rd. Shamwari ran slow and steady around the CIC2* and is currently 16th. Here are Boyd's comments Read more...

Christine Turner's Kyra and Gloria Callen and Nancy Hathaway's Tura Lura were first out in the CCI2* and each added just two times fault, with Kyra currently in 2nd and Tura Lura sitting 5th heading into tomorrow's show jumping. Pancho Villa Places 3rd at Jersey Fresh CCI3*

We’ve wrapped up another successful weekend at the Jersey Fresh International three-day event. I was a bit stiff and sore at the trot-up this morning after falling off Eddie on cross-country yesterday, but both Pancho and Shadow trotted up brilliantly. They’re in perfect condition in their health and fitness. We did the normal icing and poulticing last night and they bounced back in great form for show jumping today. I was lucky that Silvio warmed me up on both horses for the jumping. Gloria Read more...
