Well Wishes to Sara Siegal

Unfortunately my assistant Sara Siegal had a fall on cross-country last Saturday at Five Points Horse Trials. She was riding her fantastic OTTB Pure Possession, whom she produced from Beginner Novice to Intermediate level. Sara’s been with me since the beginning of the year and has been very successful on Milo, but unfortunately took a nasty tumble. It’s a little bit unclear what happened; the fence was a roll top, then five strides to a corner and my guess is Milo bumped a knee on the corner and sent Sara Supermanning through the air and she had a perfect landing on her shoulder, snapping her collarbone in the process.

Sara was a guest at the Cape Fear Trauma Unit, where she received surgery to mend the two bones. I’m quite sure we’ll see Sara back in action in the near future as she’s a great girl with lots of talent and a fantastic outlook on the sport of eventing.
