Windurra Cross Country Course Closed for Winter

After a massively successful year of cross-country schooling we have decided to finally close the course to the public for the winter. We’ve been lucky that conditions have been kind and we’ve been able to keep jumping right into December. Our good friend Jamie Hicks is coming in to Aerovate, fertilize and reseed the entire schooling course to ensure the footing is top notch for the 2016 schooling season.

I also want to announce that next year we’ll be opening a new double mound complex (see photos) that’s been under construction by ETB Equine Construction this year. It’s nearly identical to the one that Derek diGrazia uses at the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, but I’ve made the dimensions a little bit wider and a little bit taller to make sure the four-star horses are prepared for whatever Derek designs for next year’s Rolex.

On a final note I would like to thank a lot of the big-time professional event trainers for using Windurra as a place to school their students. Jimmy Wofford, Daniel Stewart, Phillip Dutton, Sally Cousins and others have all used our facilities as a place to improve their students’ cross country skills.

We are looking forward to next season!
