Windurra Event Horses Arrive at Richland Park

The Windurra event horses arrived late last night in Kalamazoo, Michigan for the Richland Park Horse Trials and CIC. We have made the long trek to Michigan to compete a number of the top class horses that we have in work.

It’s a special event for me, as my WEG and Olympic partners Blackfoot Mystery (“Red”) and Shamwari are having their first run in a very long time. A lot of hard work and training has been put into these two over the past 12 months to get them back in action and  I plan to give them a slow, gentle run around the CIC**.

Contessa has been in phenomenal form as of late. I decided to bring her all the way out as she needs a CIC** to get qualified for a three-day event at the 2-star level at the end of the year. She will be green at this level so I am looking for a confidence-building experience for her.

Thomas the Tank Engine, aka Tsetserleg, is my only entry in the CIC***, the highest level of competition at this event. He has been going well at home, and is in great condition as we build him up for a run at the Fair Hill International CCI3*. He should be right up there in the standings.

Long Island T is having a crack at the Advanced this weekend. He was a bit all over the shop at Millbrook last start, but he has been training well, and should get the improvement award this weekend.

Live scores will be posted HERE starting Thursday.
