We have a big weekend of Eventing competition coming up at the Mars Great Meadow International in Virginia. This weekend will be an exciting one, with every horse moving up to a new level!
Fernhill Prezley, Wabanaki (Monty) and Penhill Celtic (Donald) will attempt their first ever FEI CCI4S class. My main goal is completion!  All three of these boys have done over a full year of Intermediate and 3-star events, so it’s time to see if they can jump the big stuff.  I think all of them will be good, but green in the dressage. They should all show jump well, and I plan to go slow and steady around the cross country. We need a clear round to get our 4-Star qualification.
Caterina has been humming along well at home. I believe she could jump around the course with her eyes shut, but she will probably show her inexperience in the dressage ring. Again, my main plan is to get through this event unscathed.
I am ‘catch’ riding my good friend Erin Sylvester’s horse Warren in the Prelim. Erin is pregnant and asked for a favor, and Warren seems to be a lovely horse that should dance around the Open Preliminary.
