Windurra Eventing at 2020 Stable View Oktoberfest

Boyd is still easing back into competing and will be riding two horses at the Stable View Oktoberfest Event this weekend. Because Stable View is the winter base for Boyd and Silva, it felt important to support their annual FEI competition. Stable View has worked hard to establish safety protocols during Covid-19 to keep participants safe and ensure that competitions continue for eventers, dressage and hunter/jumper competitors.
At Oktoberfest Boyd will be riding Penhill Celtic, an eight-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Je T’aime Flamenco x Norway Maid/Coevers Diamond Boy) owned by Arnell Sport Horses and Fernill Prezley, a 10-year-old Irish Sporthorse mare (Aldatus x Killerisk Diamond/Gildawn Diamond) owned by Nancy Hathaway, in the CCI3-S.

Boyd reports, “Both Prezley and Donald had a good trip down to Aiken. I rode them yesterday afternoon and they both worked well ahead of today’s dressage. I think both horses will be very competitive in all three phases. It looks a strong field, but both these boys have serious quality. My leg is feeling good and I will let them run on a little bit on Saturday for the cross-country. They are both still a little green.  This should be a good final run before I take them to the Long Format at Kentucky in a few weeks. ”
