Windurra Eventing Saturday Update from Plantation Field International

Boyd Martin and Long Island T

It was a beautiful, crisp fall day at the Plantation Field International Three-Day Event Presented by Taylor Harris Insurance Services. As planned, Boyd had a steady canter around the CCI3*-S on both Long Island T, owned by the Long Island T Syndicate, and On Cue, owned by Christine Turner. While it’s always exciting to take the early lead, the goal was for Boyd and the horses to get back in the groove and have a safe and careful weekend as Boyd has been rehabilitating after surgery to repair a damaged muscle. Everyone was fit and finished safe and sound, so the weekend was ultimately a huge success.

Mike Pendleton is piloting a large group of horses for Windurra USA and safely piloted The Fonz Himself, Wabanaki and Contessa around the CCI3*-S and Miss Lulu Herself in the CCI2*-S. Tomorrow he’ll pilot Butt’s Aria around the Preliminary Horse Trials.

Special thanks to the owners and sponsors who have stood by Windurra USA throughout this difficult year, and to everyone who worked so hard to make this local event a success.
